What sets us apart
G-Fashion Academy, in Yaoundé, is the school of G-Fashion Empire. Classes are held where the workshop sews, where the salon braids and where the beauty room treats — not in a classroom built alongside. A student sees real orders, real clients and real deadlines from the first weeks.
That is the difference we claim, and it is not a figure of speech: a training institute that only trains cannot offer it. You learn the craft itself, but also everything around it — how to talk to a client, how to quote a price, how to rescue a piece that does not hang right.
The training leads to a recognised qualification: the academy is accredited by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training. Two qualifications complete the training: the CQP (Certificat de Qualification Professionnelle) and the DQP (Diplôme de Qualification Professionnelle).
Places are limited to twenty per programme and per intake: beyond that we can no longer have everyone working on real pieces, and that is the whole point of coming here.

Before you enrol
Do I need a diploma to enrol?
The training is open from the age of 12, with the CEP (Certificat d’Études Primaires — the primary school leaving certificate) as the minimum qualification required. Beyond that, what counts is motivation and regularity: workshop training is failed mainly through absence.
Is the training recognised?
Yes. The academy is accredited by MINEFOP, the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training. The training leads to two qualifications: the CQP (Certificat de Qualification Professionnelle) and the DQP (Diplôme de Qualification Professionnelle).
What does it cost, and can I pay in instalments?
500,000 FCFA for the full year, whichever programme, plus 25,000 FCFA registration and 15,000 FCFA for the uniform, paid at enrolment. A deposit of 200,000 FCFA is paid before training begins, and the balance is spread over the following six months.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
The school provides all the equipment specific to the training. To progress well, students need their own practice equipment — the details are given by programme at enrolment.
Can I work at the same time?
Classes run from 8.30am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. An adjusted arrangement exists for people already in work: let us talk about it before you enrol.
What happens after the training?
You leave with a trade and pieces to show for it. Our former students become stylists, professional hairdressers or beauty therapists, open their own salon, or go on to build a career abroad. We do not promise a job: we train you to practise one.
